Attrition in Argument

Attrition in Argument

Attrition never wins arguments. Can you truly win an argument through attrition? No. Attrition is the failure of having the ability to argue. Those who argue via attrition do not know how to address counter issues or even see any part of the issue from the other standpoint or point of view. Often those who argue with attrition accuse the other of weakness regarding opinion or stance without really taking the time for the initial understanding of the other side. This is because they have developed an ego that never allowed them to learn in school or in life. Those who argue via attrition are usually unjust and already know they have a lesser foundation but never human enough to admit it.

Blessed be those who think.

Todays Health Buddy Quote

Today’s Health Buddy Quote 05 10 2010

“You must be the change you see in this world” my father read to me this off the screen of his health buddy. And I agree with this but had to add a little sarcasm after many an endless bad day.
“Who wrote that?” I asked.
“Mahtama Gandhi.” My father replied.
I replied, “Well we are until we are chin deep in $h17 !”

Today's post has no relation or read into as to the prior post. In other words I have great respect for Gandhi. A quality I find very admirable in India Indians is that they are magnanimous with their advice. I mean they always have seemed to give good advice no matter how your mood is regarding whether you are feuding with them or not. Of course now that I have said this Murphy's law will try and prove me wrong. But I will give them credit that they have the fewer roads to hell that are paved with good intent, than any group I have known.

Productivity Based Languages

“The way the Chinese language is written in symbolism, makes for it to be read like a data operations management flowchart or other type of flow chart. It is no wonder productivity has caught up with them.”

Ethnic Grocery Store

Ethnic Grocery Store 05 02 2010

Sometimes I go shopping at ethnic grocery stores. As I am shopping there, I think a bigot or racist would never come here. I often find a product at a store like this that I enjoy and lead’s to happiness for me, at least for awhile. I know what some people are missing.J

Complements and Human Nature

Complements and Human Nature 05 02 2010

My father and I started talking about complements today.

“A black lady at the gym today complemented me on my upper body development. I didn’t quite know what to day. People rarely give complements.” I said.

“What did you say?” My father asked.

“I didn’t know what to say, I just said “Thank you.”

“Sometimes they complement you when you are down and sometimes they put you down when you are up. I think you told me that.” He said.

“That’s just part of human nature.” He said.

“It’s the opposite of human nature. What separates us from the animals is we have a conscience.” I said.

Before I could continue he said, “That’s part of rationality.”

“Yes and that also separates us from animals. But it goes back to the bible, “Don onto others as you would have them do onto you.” I said.

“Mostly today people just like to insult you, to keep you down. A complement is a rarity. They tell you in business not to complement because it is a weakness and often regarded as insulting. I think that jealousy is not on the scale of human nature. It is somewhat lower.”

The Italian Problem

If Italians properly raised and disciplined their children there would be no Mafia. If there was no Mafia there would be no drug trade. If there was no drug trade there would be no illegal immigration problem in this country. There would also be no corruption in the Roman Catholic Church.

Erasing Embarrassing Moments?

"Have you ever caught someone in an embarrassing moment, act or expression. They
know it and so do you. And you probably have a good laugh to yourself for awhile. What happens next is after awhile they emphatically act out the opposite of what you saw them do to try and make you think that you didn't see what you first saw. You can be assured what you first saw is the truth, when you see them act out the appropriate behavior that they learned but did not follow. It's too late, people are not as dumb as you think.

Just consider it a matter of good human nature for them to try and erase their bad behavoir in this fashion and not an insult to your intelligence, "See, see I'm really not like that!"
