A good way to remember how to insert a USB cable into your computer is that the crack of the metal is on the underside when you put it in the port; essentially the same way one sits on a toilet. For this one computer it holds true on all three USB ports. Try it on yours and remember it that way. Hold the cable up first and look for the crack and then orientate it that way as you plug it in that slot you can't see without "owling" your neck.
